a male patient at necropsy. t Large numbers of cases of ovarian origin have been described but the disease when secondary to appendicular mucocele is relatively rare. Weaver (loc. cit.) reported an incidence of 7 mucoceles in 6,225 appendicectomies and only one associated with peritoneal pseudomyxoma. He also reported an incidence of 0.11 per cent of peritoneal pseudomyxoma in a series of 256 cases of mucocele of the appendix, and reviewed 6 cases of pseudomyxoma peritonii and 76 cases of mucocele of appendix in 31,200 appendicectomies by Mayo and Fauster.
